Please email our donor helpline at donor@newlifehosp.com. After you contact us, you will quickly receive a reply in your email with further details about the organ donation process. This message will include the name and email ID of the doctor handling your case, guiding you through the kidney transplant steps if you wish to donate a kidney.
As an aspiring donor looking to donate a kidney, you will need to reach out to your assigned doctor via mail. The doctor will reply with all the necessary information regarding the organ donation process and may ask any pertinent questions. Furthermore, they will provide you with a link to the registration page, where you must enter all required details along with your account information to receive your first installment of advance after completing the essential kidney transplant steps.
After submitting your details on the registration page to donate kidney, a doctor will evaluate your eligibility based on your information and the availability of patients in need of a kidney transplant. If determined eligible, he will generate a temporary enrollment number for you, which will be sent via email. This crucial assessment process, an integral part of the organ donation process, typically takes about an hour. Following this, you will need to email our hospital's finance department with your temporary enrollment number. The finance department will provide you with the invoice bill for the enrollment fee along with a payment link. Paying this enrollment fee is essential to complete your enrollment and proceed with the necessary kidney transplant steps.
After your enrollment to donate a kidney, you (now referred to as the 'Donor') will receive your agreement via email within 1 hour. As part of the organ donation process, which encompasses the essential kidney transplant steps, the Donor must print out the Donor’s Agreement, read it carefully, sign it, and then mail it back to the finance department by scanning the signed document along with your ID and Address Proof. Alternatively, you can opt to sign the agreement online through the link sent to you with the agreement. Once you submit the signed copy of the agreement, you will be considered Fully Enrolled in the kidney transplant steps.
The first installment payment for those who choose to donate a kidney will be processed within 4 hours for urgent mode donors. For normal mode donors, this payment will be handled in a few days, as part of the overall organ donation process. This payment is directed to the donor's bank account following the necessary kidney transplant steps.
The second installment payment will be made within 7-14 days of enrollment to the bank account of the donor, in accordance with our terms and conditions outlined in the Donor’s Agreement. This agreement is crucial in the organ donation process, especially for individuals who wish to donate a kidney, as it guides them through the necessary kidney transplant steps.
Once the donor confirms receipt of the second installment, they will receive an appointment letter for the operation, a crucial step in the organ donation process. This appointment is especially significant within the kidney transplant steps, and the date will be determined based on the doctor's availability.
Our team will stay in touch with you throughout your entire journey, greeting you upon your arrival at the airport, railway station, or bus stop. After arriving at the hospital to donate a kidney, the donor must fill out the admission form and sign the consent form. Following these important kidney transplant steps, the donor will be admitted to their designated room. For additional information about the room options, please consult the 'Types of Rooms and Services' section in the donor manual, which outlines the organ donation process.
Donors who wish to donate a kidney will be admitted, and the necessary tests will be conducted on the same day as part of the kidney transplant steps. Additionally, an attendant could also reside in the room throughout the organ donation process.
If the vital signs are normal, the kidney transplant steps will move forward with the operation scheduled for the next day. If the vitals are not stable, the operation will be postponed to the third day after the vital signs have been normalized under the careful observation of the relevant doctors. Before taking the donor to the operation theatre, the third installment of the payment for the organ donation process will be transferred to the donor’s bank account. After the operation, the donor who has chosen to donate a kidney will be moved to the ICU for a 24-hour recovery period. Following this, the donor will be transferred to the admitted room, where an attendant can stay during both the surgery and the ICU recovery.
The donor will be discharged after two days of being kept in the room under observation. It is important for those who donate a kidney to return after 4 weeks for a follow-up and a few tests to ensure the normal functioning of the body. This follow-up is a crucial part of the kidney transplant steps and the overall organ donation process, and it will be completely free for the donor.
